Sidewalk Leveling & Trip Hazard Repair | Dallas-Fort Worth

A Raised Edge Is a Lawsuit Waiting to Happen

We’ve fixed thousands of uneven sidewalks across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and every single one of them started the same way — somebody tripped, somebody noticed, or somebody got a letter from the city.

Whether it’s a customer walking into your business or your neighbor’s kid riding their bike down the block, a sidewalk lip of even half an inch is a real hazard. And in today’s world, it’s a real liability.

At Pride Concrete Lifting, we’ve been leveling walkways and eliminating trip hazards for nearly 30 years. We do it fast, we do it clean, and we do it right.

For Business Owners: ADA Compliance Matters

If you manage a commercial property — a shopping center, office building, church, or apartment complex — uneven concrete isn’t just a maintenance issue. It’s a legal one.

  • ADA Requirements: The Americans with Disabilities Act considers any surface change of 1/4 inch or more a violation. That’s not much.
  • Liability: Trip-and-fall lawsuits are among the most common claims businesses face. A level sidewalk is your first line of defense.
  • Zero Downtime: Unlike tearing out and replacing concrete, our foam injection process lets your customers walk on the surface immediately. No barricades, no closures, no lost business.

We work with property managers and facility directors across DFW — from retail centers in Arlington to office parks in Irving, commercial properties in Weatherford, and new developments in Hudson Oaks and Willow Park — to keep their walkways safe and compliant.

For Homeowners: HOA Notices & City Code

If you’ve gotten a letter from your HOA or your city about an uneven sidewalk, you’re not alone. We get calls about these every week — from neighborhoods in Plano and McKinney to new developments in Walsh Ranch, Aledo, and Weatherford, and all throughout Tarrant, Parker, and Collin counties.

A note on city-owned sidewalks: Many sidewalks along the street are actually city property. If the city sent the notice, they may need to contact us directly since the work wouldn’t be on your property. We’re happy to help sort that out — just give us a call.

For sidewalks on your property, the traditional fix — tearing out the old concrete and pouring new — costs a fortune and destroys your lawn in the process. Smaller sidewalk sections sometimes do need full replacement, but in many cases we offer a better way:

  • Save Your Yard: Our equipment runs through long hoses. We don’t need to drive heavy trucks across your grass or tear up your landscaping.
  • Honest Assessment: Tree roots are one of the biggest reasons sidewalks lift in North Texas. Because our foam is hot when injected, we don’t recommend working near healthy root systems. We’ll tell you upfront whether lifting is the right fix or if the section needs to be replaced — no surprises.

How We Level Sidewalks

Our process is straightforward:

  1. Drill: We drill small holes — about the size of a penny — in the sunken slab.
  2. Inject: We pump high-density polyurethane foam underneath. It expands to fill voids and gently raises the concrete back to level.
  3. Patch: We fill the holes with cement that matches your existing surface.

The whole thing usually takes a couple of hours. When we leave, the sidewalk is level, the holes are patched, and you can walk on it right away.

No Job Is Too Small (or Too Big)

We’ve leveled a single square in front of somebody’s porch, and we’ve done mile-long stretches for master-planned communities. Whether it’s one panel or a hundred, we’ve got the equipment and the crew to handle it.

Pride Concrete Lifting keeps your walkways safe, your property compliant, and your neighbors happy.

Frequently Asked Questions

My city sent me a notice about my uneven sidewalk. Can you fix that?

It depends on who owns the sidewalk. Many sidewalks along the street are actually city property — the city would need to contact us directly for those. For sidewalks on your property, we’ll come out and evaluate whether our process is the best solution. Smaller sidewalk sections sometimes do better with a traditional tear-out and replacement, but many can be lifted quickly and affordably.

Can you work around tree roots?

We’re upfront about this — our foam material is hot when it enters the soil, so we don’t recommend injecting near healthy existing trees. If tree roots are the cause of the lifting, we’ll tell you so and help you figure out the best path forward. We’d rather give you honest advice than damage a mature tree.

How soon can I walk on the sidewalk after the repair?

Immediately. There’s no curing time to wait on. As soon as we pack up, the sidewalk is ready for foot traffic.

How much does sidewalk leveling cost?

It varies by the size of the job, but it’s consistently a fraction of what tear-out and replacement costs — and we don’t destroy your landscaping in the process. We offer a free inspection and quote so you’ll know the cost before we start.
